WhatsApp users can now reply to status updates using avatars

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is introducing a new feature that allows users to reply to status updates using avatars. This feature, currently in beta for iOS and Android users, enables users to respond to status updates with animated versions of avatars, providing a more expressive way to engage with contacts. Additionally, WhatsApp has announced that it will no longer support certain older smartphone models starting from October 24, 2023, in order to focus on supporting the latest operating systems. Users will be notified and encouraged to upgrade their devices to continue using WhatsApp. https://ift.tt/EZvBFah
