Airtel Payments Banks to allow e-KYC based on face authentication

Airtel Payments Bank has announced that it will introduce face authentication-based savings account opening on its Airtel Thanks App. This feature, which will be available by the end of 2023, will allow customers to open an account digitally using face biometrics as e-KYC. Airtel Payments Bank is the first bank in India to test this facility on its mobile app. The authentication will be processed using the mobile application developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), ensuring a secure and seamless account opening process. https://ift.tt/G8O0NEs
