Tencent has taken PUBG Mobile offline for server maintenance from 0:00 UTC till 9:00 UTC (5:30 AM to 2:20 PM IST). The game is currently inaccessible and when one boots up the game, a notification implying the same pops up. As per the notification, the newer version of the popular Battle Royale game will be made available on the Google Play and App Store starting December 18. Additionally, the new Vikendi Snow Map will also be accessible in the new update but the company will announce its availability at a later date. This means that the map might not be available immediately after updating the game but could be made live later, from the server side. Alongside the Vikendi Snow Map, some new additions will also make it to the game. Till now there has been a Halloween theme for the title’s main menu and it will be updated to a “Snow Theme.” Cross-server matching support will also be available and players will finally be able to report suspicious activity while spectating, after they die. The latter feature will prove useful in getting rid of in-game hackers, who use aimbots or other types of hacks to gain the upper hand on their opponent. Additionally, there is now a firearms finish upgrade system and the season pending rewards are also here. The company had previously revealed the new changes and additions that will be introduced with the Vikendi map. The map is 6km x 6km in size and includes a new weather mode called snow and it also gets an exclusive vehicle - the snowmobile. On Vikendi's spawn island, players will get to throw snowballs instead of Apples. Previously, Tencent had said that the 0.10.0 update for PUBG Mobile will bring the new map and it will be available for download from 0:00 UTC (5:30 AM IST) on December 20, with availability for matchmaking 24 hours later. However, it seems like the developers sped the process as it will be available for download from November 18.Tech Nuggets with Technology: This Blog provides you the content regarding the latest technology which includes gadjets, softwares, laptops, mobiles etc
