Websites across the world may shutdown, but here's why there is no need to panic

Online media has been abuzz with news that several million users across the globe may lose access to internet in the coming 48 hours. According to reports, the alert for ‘global internet shutdown’ came from Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The disruption is said to be triggered by planned rollout of the first-ever changing of the cryptographic key that helps to ptotect Domain Name System (DNS) on October 11. https://ift.tt/2IUIpWa
